Breanna K. Cowan

One significant milestone in my career was my involvement in a complex defective product case that resulted in a $12 million settlement for our client. Additionally, as a young attorney, I had the opportunity to work on a trial team with one of the most notable trial attorneys in the country. It was an incredible learning experience that has continued to pave the way for how I litigate cases.

I firmly believe that effective communication is the cornerstone of any successful legal representation. I strive to be readily available to my clients, ensuring they are informed about every development in their case. I approach my clients with the same care and diligence that I would expect for my own family, ensuring they fully understand the entire legal process and what to anticipate at each stage.

Beyond my legal practice, I am deeply involved in volunteer work related to elder care. I serve as a volunteer ombudsman with the North Dakota Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and am an advocate for the Alzheimer's Association. My commitment to elder care advocacy not only enriches my understanding of nursing home and assisted living cases, but also strengthens my resolve to fight for the most vulnerable in our society.

Having faced injuries myself, I know the fear and pain that can accompany such experiences. This personal understanding drives me to handle cases with honesty, transparency, and empathy, making sure my clients are informed and supported every step of the way. When it comes to litigation, I believe in the power of teamwork. Collaborating with fellow attorneys enhances our effectiveness, allowing us to identify potential challenges and capitalize on case strengths. Clients have often commended me for my approachability, thorough explanations, and consistent communication throughout their cases.

Outside of my legal career, my family keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of laughter and play. I enjoy camping and fishing in the summer and passionately follow hockey and football during the winter months – Go Broncos! Looking ahead, my ambition is to become the leading nursing home abuse and neglect attorney in the country. I aspire to consult with facilities to enhance preventive measures and advocate for reforms in nursing home care at both state and federal levels. My dedication to helping others remains unwavering, and I'm here to stand up for your rights and fight for justice.

I'm Breanna Cowan, and my journey in the legal profession was motivated by a deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on people's lives, particularly those navigating the aftermath of tragic incidents. I graduated from Syracuse University's law school in 2015 and during my time there, a friend experienced a devastating car crash, resulting in the loss of his daughter and life-altering injuries. Witnessing his struggle left an indelible mark on me, inspiring me to specialize in personal injury law.

Upon receiving my law degree, I became a licensed attorney, dedicating my career to the realm of personal injury law. I've had the privilege of working closely with James over the years, an exceptionally intelligent and passionate attorney. Learning from him has been an invaluable experience, and I wholeheartedly share his commitment to helping people and advocating for what is right. My practice spans a wide array of personal injury cases, including car crashes, premises liability, defective products, wrongful death, negligent security, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse and neglect. Particularly, I have a strong passion for advocating on behalf of the elderly, having worked extensively in cases related to nursing home and assisted living abuse and neglect.
